Job Description

Do you have at least 2 years of caregiving experience?

We're looking for someone with 2+ years in a healthcare, senior care, or caregiving environment to join our team as a Senior Caregiver Trainer.

Why Home Instead?

At Home Instead, you can make a meaningful impact by empowering caregivers through education and support. We are seeking a dedicated Training & Development Coordinator to lead these efforts, enhancing the lives of both our caregivers and seniors.

What We Offer:

  • A positive, fun, supportive work environment where you can make a meaningful impact.
  • We offer a range of benefits that not only take care of your health and retirement but also support your ongoing professional growth.
  • Access to professional development assistance, allowing you to expand your skills in senior care.
  • Enjoy a variety of coveted benefits from medical, vision and dental to 401k retirement plans, life insurance and more!

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development:

  • Lead comprehensive caregiver training sessions (orientation, in-service, etc.).
  • Update and maintain training materials in compliance with state regulations.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations and assist with caregiver-client introductions

Engagement & Retention:

  • Plan quarterly in-service topics and monthly engagement activities to strengthen team connections.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop retention strategies that reduce turnover.
  • Manage Care Professional shadow shifts and career growth initiatives.

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist with candidate outreach and processing, including reference checks and background screening.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare, senior care, or caregiving environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities are crucial for success in this role. Equally important are strong interpersonal skills, including the capacity to motivate and engage a team effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license required.

We believe in building a supportive and compassionate environment, not only for our seniors but for our team members. Your work will directly impact caregivers’ ability to provide quality care, fostering a stronger, more connected community.
